Those little baby shoes where given to the Museum by Hildigunnur Valdimarsdóttir, a daugter of Guðfinna Þorsteinsdóttir. Guðfinna used to gather her own hair from the comb when she combed herself and when she cut her hair. Then she spinned the hair and made slippers for her children out of it. When she died her children found a spinned thread that Guðfinna had made out of her her and her daugter, Hildigunnur made those shoes out of it. The togs inside the shoes are made of lambswool.
